Founded in Manzano in 1959 by Silvano Montina, the Montbel brand grew through the experience that Silvanos had gained when he was a young boy in the chair industry. As soon as the brand began its journey, Montbel was well known for attention to detail and catering to the needs of valued customers. As the furniture brand developed into a larger company in the 1960s, the quality of the products also strengthened. When it came to 1966, Montbel formed into a more contemporary brand and moved to a production site to help expand the business further across international markets and reinforce its commercial plans. When Montbel began, all products were designed and manufactured using customers drawings and prototypes, which eventually branched out to create a variety of products for one collection under the Montbel brand name that was developed with the collaboration of both Italian and foreign designers.
